while i have no insight for you unfortunately (being a teenage girl with no thought of business), i also have some questions about defreinding. a good friend of mine, who is admittedly a very big flirt despite his girlfriend whom he claims he is “in love with”, keeps defriending me. what is more, he will refriend me days later. and the cycle keeps starting/stopping with no clues to either way. helppp!!!

I would say forget about it. Some people use facebook to network and some use it to socialize. It probably doesn’t matter. I’ve been unfriended by a couple people that I actually know and run into occasionally and it’s not too big of a deal, and this is some guy you’ve never met (which might be the reason he declined). I wouldn’t lose any sleep over it.

I’d give the dude a second chance. But that’s just me. I’ve been unfriended a total of, I think, three times. The first was a mistake, the second two were intentional, AFAIK. Mostly it was political crap, I think, and I had to rock the boat once too many times.

It’s also possible he doesn’t get the ‘rules’ of the internet, i.e. openness leads to networking leads to business… but what are you gonna do.
